I got the care package and yes you are correct I should be departing
theater mid May. Wow, the year has flown by...NOT! Some days have been
better than others. This is not my first deployment so I've come to
expect ups and downs. There was talk of me being extended but I haven't
heard any of it lately so I think I'm good to depart o/a mid May.
I can't even begin to tell you how much I have enjoyed receiving the
lovely cards from you and your organization. I wish I knew of you before
this deployment. I will be sure to look you up during my next
deployment and I will tell all my friends about you. You have been a
blessing and sense of comfort to me and so many of our service members.
I still need to send out my Easter cards. My heart is in it but my hands
are tired of writing...smile.
Home is close...I can see light at the end of the tunnel but still I
must stay focused until I'm back in the states. Thank you so much Kris
for all you do to make deployments tolerable and keep families connected
through these wonderful cards. This will be a wonderful memory that will
stay with me.
