Everyone has such a talent

All volunteers,
We can never say thank you enough. Thank you for everything you do for us! We love all the cards you send! It really makes us WANT to write home.

Personally, I write several cards each week! My mother-in-law even mentioned that she got two Christmas cards the other day. She said she has never gotten two Christmas cards from the same person before! I love getting the boxes and seeing what you have created! Everyone has such a talent, all the cards are great and show wonderful creativity!! I love them so much I just want to share them with my friends and family. I even sent a card to another friend that is deployed, she loved it!!

Again thank you all for everything you do! Keep them coming, its great and lets us know that there are tons of people out there that are thinking of us all the time!

Thank you tons,

Temendous work that you do

I just wanted to send a quick thank you to your organization for the tremendous work that you do. I did not know this endeavor existed until I received a homemade Christmas card yesterday in the mail from my brother who is stationed in Afghanistan right now. Christmas is his favorite time of year so I know it meant a lot to him to be able to send us cards. Myself, my parent's, my sister & my brother all received a card and it made our day to see his handwriting & to know that he was okay. I'm sure many families who have loved ones overseas feel the same way when they receive your cards as well. I do plan on donating to your organization because this is something that is important and needs to continue for our troops and their families. I will encourage my family and friends to do so as well. Thank you so much and Merry Christmas.

Thanks from the heart

To all the wonderful people at Operation Write Home,

I run across your cards from time to time and always enjoy the creative, caring touch and just knowing those that make them care. We all appreciate the time all of you spend making, packaging and mailing them out to us, wherever we are. Again, thanks from the heart to all of you who take time out of your daily lives to give us a piece of it. Merry Christmas and God Bless to all of you.

Very respectfully,

I was so excited to find the box of greeting cards

To the Crafters who spent their time and money on preparing such beautiful cards…THANK YOU. I am in the United States Air Force assigned to Afghanistan. I was so excited to find the box of greeting cards to choose Christmas cards to send my family. I am always so busy…there was no way I could order cards and get them out to my loved ones. Your cards are so pretty. I am very grateful for the cards and wanted to send a little note of thanks.

Happy Holidays.
God Bless.

You're such a big hit!

Howdy Sandy!
Thank you for the box of cute cards! We all love them. They were waiting for me when I returned from R&R. It was a great surprise! Coming back is never easy but knowing people care makes it a little bit better.

I don't remember if I told you. Everyone loves your cards. I am in charge of the Automations Help Desk...kind the Geek Squad of the Army. We keep your box at the front desk. People stop in just to see if we have new cards. You're such a big hit!

Thanks again!

Gestures like this

I wanted to write you to let you know I received your package today of handmade cards for loved ones. Thank you so much for pulling these together and sending them out to me. I can tell they were each made with love and attention to detail; each one is as beautiful as the next.

Please send out my personal thanks and the thanks of everyone in my unit to all the folks at Operation Write Home that helped assemble this package. Being away from family is hard, but gestures like these make it a little bit easier.

Thanks again,
Capt A.R.

Passed around as we speak

Dear Sandy and Ciara,
Thank you very much for the cards.  The box is being passed around as we speak, and we appreciate everyone’s efforts to support us.  Honestly we get lots of support from kind people like you and the great organizations you represent.
Have a great day.

Given me a lot of ideas

Dear Operation Write Home,
Thank you so much for sending a box with blank cards so that Service Members can write home. I have used your cards to write to friends and family and they love them. This is a fantastic idea and your generosity to those deployed is appreciated. The cards are beautifully made and have given me a lot of ideas for when I get home to start making my own.

Once again thank you so much!

Very Respectfully

Pass on our thanks

Written on an OWH card, received by a student at St Pius School:

Dear Austin,
I’ve received your letter and it really warmed my heart to know that you are thinking of us, all of us, over here in Afghanistan. Thank you for your warm thoughts and prayers. I am also so proud of you and what you are doing for your school. Playing sports is good for you and will train you to work with others. Please pass on our thanks to all of the others who wrote to us over here.

Take care and God bless!
