Thank you for taking the time

Received by a cardmaker on an OWH card:

I received your card you sent as part of the Operation Write Home Program. Thank you for taking the time to make cards for me and the other service members as they are put to good use. We just recieved this box and people raided it pretty quick!
Just to give you a little background of me. I’m deployed down at Camp Tombstone, which is located right next to Camp Leatherneck and Bastion down in the Helmand Province of Afghanistan. If you looked at a map of Afghanistan that is located in the Southwest region. I’m Air Force but the majority of the people are Marines. Having never worked with the Marines I was pretty nervous about the whole situation but they have turned out to be great and I couldn’t think of any better guys to work with. We are all out here as part of an Advisory team who train and advise the Afghans in the Army and Police on how to perform their military roles more effective. I must say it is very challenging but I couldn’t think of a better job to have while deployed. I leave at the end of December and look very forward to seeing my family. I have 2 little girls, 7 & 8, and I will be giving them the crosses you sent when I get home. I carry them in my pocket out here.
Thanks for your support,
MSgt CaH., USAF
