Kleenex alert! Welcome a hero's little sweetheart!

A little different post than usual...Daddy, Sgt. J.P., serving in the Army in Iraq, is on the computer screen in the second photo, and the note is from Grandma. Jeremy's proud aunt is Terri D., one of our cardmakers!

We are all still very excited. J. is absolutely thrilled he was able to see the whole birth. They have been doing Skype since he left in July. Skype is just a term, it's basically a web cam and you see each other on your computer. We have been fortunate enough to be able to do it with [his wife] as well. J. has talked to [the baby] throughout the pregnancy. She would put the laptop close to her belly so he could talk to him. It's really special.
Love,
Grandma

Thanks, Terri, for sharing your pics! I hope I put enough baby cards in J's last box! Congratulations to the whole family! Beautiful. Just beautiful!

So incredibly touching! I'm a mother, a sister to a deployed airmen, and a postpartum nurse - so I can feel all of those emotions at the same time.

THanks for sharing this special moment. My newest grandson was born last Friday and I know how happy my son was to be there. At least J could somewhat participate. Prayers that he is home soon and safe.

Being a mom who just had her son come home from Afghanistan yesterday, I am filled with emotion for you. I am so happy that daddy got to "be there" for the birth of his little one.
I thank you all for your service and sacrifice for our country. I also pray that all our our troops come home safely to their families soon! God bless you all!

Thanks for sharing that special moment with us. It is so awesome that even with all those miles separating them the father could participate and share the joy!
