Thank you from the bottom of my heart

From a military mom:

My son, Andrew, is 21 years old and doing his first tour in Afghanistan. His wife is here in the states by herself, dealing with a very difficult first pregnancy. He reports that he has been so thankful to be able to send her special cards throughout her numerous hospitalizations. His still has no internet access, but when I spoke to him yesterday he asked that I once again thank OWH for the box of fabulous cards sent to him. The box is kept in the company office and he and his fellow soldiers have been so grateful to have homemade cards available to them.  I, as a mom and recipient of one of those amazing cards for Mother's Day, also thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you are doing for the troops serving our country. It certainly makes for bright spots in what is alot of times dismal conditions for them. God bless you all!

There is no better feeling than this! Thank your son for me for serving our country. My daughter is in the USMC and will be deploying in the next few months to Afghanistan too. As a Military Mom, I know how you feel. God bless your son and your family!

It's notes and comments like this one that really hit home for me. When you're sitting (sometimes among friend and laughter) crafting it's easy to lose sight that the resulting cards can eventually mean so much to the people they reach. It is truly an honor to be able to do this for our heroes and their families.
