Sending mail is just as fun as receiving it...

I got the box of cards today. Thank you very much. The Airmen, Soldiers, Seamen and Marines I work with are going to love these cards to write home with. I send my friends that are deployed cards just about every day. Sending mail is just as fun as receiving it.
Please thank all the people that are helping with these cards and other things you guys do for those of us away from home. Also thank them for all the prayers for us and our families. It really means a lot to me that there are people that support what we are doing.

They are each a work of art

I just wanted to say thanks for providing such beautiful cards for us to send home.  I almost want to keep them for myself!  They are each a work of art and make writing home a little easier.  God bless you for all your work, time, sacrifice and dedication to those of us who are just doing what we signed up to do.  I would very much like to support your organization by purchasing cards when I get back home.  Do you do that?  I would buy a box of greeting cards so that I could continue to send lovely cards to friends and family.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Found a new hobby for when I return home

I can't thank you enough for all of the cards that you have sent. Everyone here really loves them, and I myself think I have found a new hobby for when I return home. :)  <---yes, she put a smileyface there!
They are truly great and very much appreciated by all. I can't tell you how many of them I have personally sent to friends and family while deployed here in Afghanistan. There certainly are some very talented people working with Operation Write Home!!! Thanks again and feel free to keep the cards coming.

Love always,

People are really creative!

Thank you again for another box of beautiful cards, they're looking better and better. People are really creative! I placed it in the Post Office lobby for customers to take.

I'm leaving here in 3 weeks. My replacement is CPT T.S. If you don't mind, can you start sending cards in his name? Six months flew by pretty fast.

To me, people make all the difference. Thank you for your team's generosity.Take care, and feel free to write to me anytime!

A much bigger difference than some might realize

Good morning!!

My boyfriend is a MAJ in the AF, serving as a nurse at Camp [X] in Afghanistan, and I am sending him my very first batch of cards this week.  It's only about 35 cards, but his team is small, so it'll get them started, at least.  I'll keep making them and sending them--it's tremendous fun for me!

I learned of your organization when I started receiving Valentines Day cards from Bill with your logo on them.  He was able to pick up Valentines Day cards at another base while he was traveling further down range, so I've been the beneficiary of several BEAUTIFUL cards!  They have meant so much to me that I wanted to help others back home have the same experience.  So all my scrapbooking supplies are getting put to great use once again.

Thanks for doing everything you're doing!!  It makes a much bigger difference than some might realize to get a hand written card from your loved one 8,000 miles away.

Cards for Anna Sarabeth! (kleenex alert!)

Sandy, I just received another box of wonderful cards from you. Thank you so much. I'll get these distributed so all of the folks here can send some sunshine home! I attached a picture of my daughter (born 31 Dec 2009, I haven't held her yet), because being a proud daddy of 5 I just wanted to show you a bit of what your cards have meant to my wife and I since I've been here. The hat box she is laying in is where my wife keeps all the cards I send and the cards around the front are just a few of the awesome cards I've been able to send thanks to OWH. Keep up the good work and please be sure to pass my personal thanks to all the many people that volunteer their time and efforts for all of us! All of
you make a difference.

Thanks Again,

The blessing is doubled

We recently received a thank you card from one of the soldiers we support who is currently serving in Afghanistan.  I was touched by such a beautiful handmade card.  On the back of the card is stamped the name of your organization as well as "Sheryl P. 2009"

I want to take a minute to thank you (and Sheryl) for this wonderful gift you give to our military folks who are deployed in harm's way.  The blessing is doubled as the cards are given by them to others. Thank you for what you do for them and for those of us who are fortunate enough to know them.

God bless you,

Appreciate the thought and time put in

I also got the awesome greeting cards, the guys loved it. The only cards around here are "thank you". I really appreciate the thought and time put in.

So unique and well-made

Thanks for the latest set of cards. I've never seen so many creative Valentine's Day cards. The thing that keeps amazing me about the Operation Write Home cards is that they are so unique and well-made that the guys get excited about them, too! Hope you had a great holiday season!

Soldiers are very pleased with the cards you all send

Well Hello!!!

Thank you all for the last box sent a couple weeks ago.  We have enough for Valentine's day.  We received them in enough time to send them home before Feb 14th.  Thank you all so much for your support, the soldiers are very pleased with the cards you all send.

Speaking as someone who's received some of these cards

Wanted to take a minute to thank Operation Write Home for supplying my husband's unit in Afghanistan a box of cards. The guys love them, and speaking as someone who's received some of these cards, they help the distance!

Please let me know what I can do to help OWH. From helping sort to hosting a cardmaking event here on Fort Lewis. (I have tons of rubber stamps to share!)

Many thanks,

What a ministry to America's Heroes abroad

Looking over your website and blogs this morning.  What a blessing that you take the time to recognize and encourage ALL the people who assist OWH whether through card making or financial donations!  What a ministry to America's Heroes abroad.  Thanks for all you and your team do.

Cannot express how much it means to us.. .and our families

Hello. I would just like to thank you for the box of cards.  The cards are really beautiful.  The selection of cards are very minimal here in Afghanistan so those were very thoughtful.  Cannot express how much it means to us.. .and our families as we are separated through holidays and  anniversaries.  We appreciate all that you do.

We contemplated sending a thank  you card… but seeing as how your cards are nicer than any that we could find elsewhere… it didn’t seem appropriate to send you your own card.

Sorry if I appear to be rambling.  But I am extremely thankful.

I can’t begin to express my gratitude

Today I received another box of cards and it couldn’t have come at a better time.  I find after the holidays there is a low in morale and being able to write home to let our loved ones know we are thinking about them helps.  I can’t begin to express my gratitude for your selfless service and please pass along my thoughts to all the wonderful members of your organization.

A hello from an Aussie!

Hello Ma'am

I am an Australian working in the International Zone in Baghdad and came across a box with your flyer in it. While I have not used your cards, I just wanted to say that around here, the things that you do mean a great deal to many of the United States uniformed and civilians in Iraq. I have seen it over my last few tours, and if they are not telling you, I sure am!

So thank you for taking the time to do what you do for them.

Kind regards

**Responded to him that we have some Aussie cardmakers who would love to support him - but he's on his way home in a month. But how nice of him to email us....and to have noticed us through a few tours!
