Thank you so much for taking the time to write a letter

An email from a soldier in Iraq, dated 06 June 08:

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a letter and send it to us. I like how you decorated it on the front with the flag and all. It is not always an easy thing to deal with when we find out we must deploy out here, and leave our loved ones behind for this extensive period. The letters that we receive much like the one you wrote are some of our biggest moral boosters to know we are not forgotten and that we are here for a purpose. I wouldn’t normally reply to a letter as there is usually no way, but you left your email and I just wanted to return the thanks for making my day better and lifting my spirits. Please don’t make the one you sent and I got the last.

God bless you and thanks.

Sincerely

SPC P.R.
