Thank you for supporting our unit

From an Army Chaplain in Iraq, dated 09 June 08:

Dear Friend,

Thank you for supporting our unit during our deployment to Iraq. Our mission will soon come to an end and we will return to our families and communities proud of our efforts and thankful for the way you helped maintain our spirits during our time overseas.

We’ve received hundreds of pounds of personal hygiene and snack items, books magazines, DVD’s and encouraging cards and letters. Some send postcards, others send coffee or spirtiual fitness materials, but it is all equally meaningful and appreciated.

Because of your support, our soldiers were able to experience an improved quality of life across the miles that separate them from their families, loved ones and communities.

Please accept the enclosed flag and certificate as a small token of our appreciation for your thoughtfulness and generosity. These flags recently accompanied my Chaplain Asst and I on a combat mission over Iraq.

Once again, thank you.
