The care package is needed, and very much appreciated

From a Chaplain’s office in Kuwait, dated 11 June 08:

The Camp XX Zone VI, Kuwait chaplain’s office would like to thank you for your generous gift. The care package is needed, and very much appreciated. Our free room is looking better due to your contribution.

The cards and books are a hit! The children’s books are especially needed. We have a United Through Reading Program, so this gift will definitely boost the morale of the troops, especially those who are raising small children.

It takes well trained soldiers that are tactically, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually ready for battle to win in combat. Our soldiers cannot be mentally, emotionally, or spiritually fit without the right equipment, and through your efforts we have provided and will continue to provide the right tools. Something as simple as a care package can make the difference in a soldier’s morale, which positively affects the mission. It takes all of us to win in battle, and you are doing your part. Thank you so much, for all you do.

D.B, Chaplain (Lieut. Col.)
