Thank you very much!

A letter from a soldier in Iraq dated 25 Nov 07:

Shalom! It was really great to receive your care package and cards! Thank you very much!

I serve with a Military Transition Team (MITT) in Baghdad Iraq. We are partnered with an Iraqi army unit which we advise and assist in their operations. With our help they are on their way to becoming self sufficient and protecting Iraq on their own.

It is an interesting job because it is so unprecedented and unpredictable. I have fun with it because I get to learn Arabic and all about the different cultures in Iraq. It can be a drag though, but what job can’t be. Being in Baghdad has it’s good points, I get to work with and talk to people from up to 30 different countries and in as many as 6 different languages at a time. So there is a lot of cultural exchange going on.

My wife lives in [city], we have 2 dogs, a cat, a rabbit, and a guinea pig. We really love animals. We are also expecting our first child in December. Don’t know if it will be a boy or girl. It’ll be a surprise.

My address will be changing soon, so please hold any packages until I have a new one.
